A small addition to the recent “scary, cut down!”

Did you have such a feeling when you go through some kind of game, you find in it so awkward and strange, which is being knocked out of the overall picture, which becomes uneasy? Well, the recent video of Vasya Galperova showed that it happened and I did not have one. Therefore, I want to shine this blog to those moments from the video game that scared me personally when I still walked under the table.

Spyro The Dragon trilogy.

A series of games about the purple dragon and his faithful companion-collapse was (and what to cunning, is still) my most beloved for the first PlayStation. True, I didn’t succeed in passing all three parts then. Why specifically – I will explain below.

It just so happened that in each of the three parts there was something that one way or another frightened me and forced me to resort to the cheathered method during the passage, namely, ask the adults to go through the level for me because I’m afraid myself. Let’s start with the first part:

First, it is worth noting for those who are possible not familiar with this game series, the game has several hab-locations and portals scattered over it, which lead to one of the levels. He was a small such castle against the backdrop of a fiery-orange sky. Shepherds walk around with aggressive dogs who do not mind bite off a piece from the scaly purple dragon’s ass and the program of the program – a huge scarecrow as a boss, with a maliciously grinning pumpkin instead of a head and a slant. Terrible? Well, now it may not be very good, but for me a five-year-old it seemed so terrible that it made me leave the level. Fortunately, he was not obligated to pass, since for the transition to the next hub-collection it was necessary to free ten dragons, who could easily be found at other levels.

By the way, it is funny that local sorcerers are very reminiscent of one dog from one famous Internet legend. Interesting, its authors were inspired by this character, or it is just a coincidence?

I think you should not explain that I played unlicensed copies of these games. And, obviously, not one me. The fact is that the second part, namely Spyro: Ripto`s Rage, the brave pirates hacked literally a week after the release, which is why INSOMNIAC Games, so that the life of honey did not seem to be a cunning anti -pirate protection for the release of the third part of the series of Games about Spiro. And they did it! After the game opens with the opportunity to fight the first boss, our Father friend warns that we, apparently, play an illegally released copy of the game and we will have problems. And they really were. Then precious stones and dragon eggs that are vital for passing disappear from the levels, the pause key stops working, the game forcibly switches to German. And like a cherry on a cake – during a battle with the final boss, you are sent to the very beginning of the game and all progress is reset. Just like in cripipasts about damned copies of games that live their lives. Something a lot I remember today about cripipastracks and the truth “

In the Hunt – a game in the Run`n Gun genre, indirectly related to the Metal Slug series of games. According to the plot, we must prevent a certain “Dark Anarchy Society, abbreviated DAS) to destroy the world, which, apparently, has already suffered all sorts of disasters.

They give us a yellow submarine (and the Beatles here, sort of not in business) and send to the destruction of some megastraly wundervafli, which DAS released: they act as bosses. Now he, like Nemesis, will pursue us and will not calm down until he destroys. It only remains to release missiles into the ceiling and hope for the best ..

Games from this series are another storehouse of nightmares for fragile children’s psyche. The plot is simple as three kopecks: the protagonist of Hex, a great lover to see the zombie, drags into the television measurement a certain cut, which is going to make a new talisman from the green lizard for his television show. Looking back, I think that these games have some kind of undeservedly low age rating (which is only the fact that one of the characters here is the star of the series “Rescuers Malibu” and “Girlfriend of the Playboy month”, whatever it means). Levels here are some parody of popular movie genres. In other words, you can feel like a hero of the movie about kung fu, about aliens, detectives or … horror. And specifically they are made very „soundly”. In the 1999 GEX, the game began with a rather terrible cemetery, where all sorts of either zombies or the monsters of Frankenstein, similar to the protagonist, aggressive tomatoes and hybrids Freddie Kruger, Jason Wurchiz and Ash Williams, roamed. On the other hand, a cemetery and a cemetery. There will not be a pony and butterflies as enemies?

And then he managed to die in a thunder.

In the second part, the degree of Saspensa only increased. The levels that personify the horror theme now are a huge, flooded estate. In addition to them, all sorts of toothy pumpkins, parodies on chaki and other evil spirits roam here. But the juice itself is the paintings hanging on the walls. They came out some very terrible, even by current standards. And if in the first part all the crypt was a plus or minus cartoon, then here it seems that this level is taken from some resident evil.

These are far from all things that are in one way or another in games, although, in theory, they should not. Maybe someday, I will remember and write about other similar moments from my video game experience. Ciao.
